Create, dress and style an unique character for the garden party!

In the Yellow Salon, guests are introduced to a digital wardrobe where early 20th-century fashion meets the present day. The goal is to pick the best outfit that they would wear at a garden party held in the Festetics Palace park. They can browse through clothing pieces, accessories, hairstyles, and names using the interactive control knobs, and choose the combination they find the most appealing.

Visitors are given a unique barcode printed on their tickets, which they have to scan to begin the experience. When finished, the character is saved, and can then be brought into the garden party scene in the Red Salon by scanning the same barcode – making their ticket essentially an invitation card to the party.

Garden Party

In the Red Salon, a digital garden party is taking place. What makes this special is that every guest at the virtual party is created by a real guest of the palace! The characters they design in the Character Studio in the Yellow Salon can be sent into the scene by scanning the unique barcode on their tickets. These characters then come to life by greeting each other, dancing around, or nodding their heads to the rhythm of the music.

The magical sounds and ambience of the party can be influenced by the mini control panel in front of the installation. The visitors can alter the music by experimenting with volume, instrument types and tempo as well. The light and mood of the setting also change with these controls.
